What is a Patch Sequencing Guitar ?

A Guitar with a built in Computer that organizes presets into Songs and Song Lists.  When you advance through this sequence the PSG changes the settings of the guitar and also sends out midi patch change messages to change to the patch on up to 8 midi devices.

What is a Preset?

A Preset is a collection of Equipment Settings including:

  1. Patches for up to 8 pieces of midi gear.
  2. Volume Settings.
  3. Pickup Mode Settings. (for models with dual mode pickups.)
  4. Pickup Mix.
  5. Preset Name.
  6. Lead or Rhythm setting.
  7. Volume Fading.

What is the difference between Live and Studio Modes?

In Live Mode when you are in the last preset and hit the Advance button you would be taken to the first preset of the next song in the song list.  In Studio Mode you are taken to the first preset on the song you are in.

What is the difference between a Patch and a Preset?

A Patch is a setting on a piece of Midi Equipment (e.g. Patch 13 on a Digitech 2120).  A Preset includes Patch numbers and Pickup Mixes and settings.

What if I hit the advance button my mistake?

You can go backwards with the reverse button.
